3-Steps to Trenchless Pipe Lining
We begin all pipe lining projects with a detailed forensic study of the existing pipe system by means of a HD video camera inspection. A digital copy of the video is yours to keep.
Sewer Pipe Cleaning
The sewer system is cleaned using hydro (water) jetting and/or a mechanical cleaning process that removes scale, buildup, debris, blockages and restores flow in the existing pipes.
Lining & Reinstatement
Your cleaned pipes are lined with an epoxy saturated tube (liner). The tube hardens and the new structural line becomes stronger than PVC. A robotic tool is then used to reopen branch lines.

What Causes Sewer Pipe Damage?
Sewer pipes do not last forever. Damaged sewer pipes result in leaks, blockages, and more problems, all of which can cause further destruction to your property if not repaired. Some of the most common causes of damage include:
- Age – Pipe materials are affected by the environment, weather, acidic soil, and material deterioration as they grow older which can cause damage including scaling, channeling, fat/solids buildup, blockages, and more.
- Tree Roots – Invasive tree roots can begin as small as a hair width and grow into the full diameter of your pipe, sometimes continuing to grow through the length of the line. Some roots will travel 100 feet or more to find a water source!
- Shifting Ground – As soil shifts over time, a pipe/fitting can shift as well. If it moves far enough, the stress can cause it to leak or break.
- Extreme Weather – High winds with hurricanes, high waters of flooding, and frequent heavy rains wear pipes more quickly than cooler, drier climates.
Wynwood, in particular, is susceptible to many of these issues. The local soil can be swampy, making it easier for the ground to shift. Warm, rainy weather and periodic flooding puts additional stress on pipes, and local sewer systems may decay faster than those in other areas, especially cast iron pipes.
We specialize in trenchless pipe lining. As a Licensed South Florida Plumbing Contractor since 1985, we knew there was a better way to permanently repair pipes without causing the destruction to properties that comes with conventional pipe repair/replacement. So we went straight to the source of the high-tech solution – Europe.
Originally developed in 1970, trenchless pipe lining, also known as CIPP (cured-in-place pipe), was designed to preserve ancient buildings while restoring the plumbing system. Pipelining Technologies invested in training their team with the same craftsmen who set the industry standards. We were the first to bring pipe lining to Southeast Florida at the turn of the Millenium. Today, we have lined thousands of pipes and are known by our reputation for excellence and quest for 100% customer satisfaction.
Our product has a life use expectancy of 50+ years and structural integrity similar to PVC. As opposed to traditional repair – which requires digging trenches through the foundation (slab) – this method is:
Trenchless pipe lining works with most existing sewer pipe materials and designs. It is also ideal for both residential and commercial properties where the speed and ease of the process mean fewer interruptions to your lifestyle or business. And there is no need for residents to relocate during the shorter service timeframe since there are no long-term water shutoffs.
Wynwood is a thriving city with seemingly endless options for housing and entertainment. There is so much going on that some of the more common, hidden challenges within properties – like sewer pipes – can be forgotten. Pipelining Technologies has the solution to repairs almost any type of pipe with ease and keep them working for decades.
