3-Steps to Trenchless Pipe Lining

Video Inspection

We begin all pipe lining projects with a detailed forensic study of the existing pipe system by means of a HD video camera inspection. A digital copy of the video is yours to keep.

Sewer Pipe Cleaning

The sewer system is cleaned using hydro (water) jetting and/or a mechanical cleaning process that removes scale, buildup, debris, blockages and restores flow in the existing pipes.

Lining & Reinstatement

Your cleaned pipes are lined with an epoxy saturated tube (liner). The tube hardens and the new structural line becomes stronger than PVC. A robotic tool is then used to reopen branch lines.

Trenchless Pipe Lining and Sewer Repair Company Serving West Palm Beach, Florida

We love living in West Palm Beach. From the stunning waterfront views to the resorts, golf, and growing economic sector – we’re proud to call this city our home. Our main office has been here since 1985 and we’re dedicated to serving our neighbors with the highest quality of care and service.

Most properties in WPB were built prior to 2001, with a considerable number of them established well over 25 years ago, the age when sewer pipes – especially when faced with the extreme weather shifts that we have in the area – start to break down. Age is not the only factor when it comes to drainage pipe issues. Root intrusion, channeling, cracks, sewer gas leaks, and even insect and rodent infestation can cause major concern for property owners.

Pipelining Technologies, Inc. (PTI) is a specialty plumbing company with headquarters right here in West Palm Beach, providing state-of-the-art solutions for those suffering from sewer pipe problems. We are proud to have introduced trenchless pipe lining to South Florida and we continue to pioneer advancements within the industry. Today, we offer property owners a safer, structurally sound, cost-saving option to old-fashioned pipe replacement – and we back it with our own parts and labor warranty!

When something is wrong with your pipes, PTI is ready to help. Give us a call today at 561-853-5463 or fill out our online form to schedule a diagnostic video inspection.

Signs of Sewer Damage

As the leaders in sewer pipe rehabilitation, we have the equipment and technology to diagnose specific drainage problems. Some of the signs of trouble with your drainage pipes include:

  • Backups/Blockages
  • Overflows
  • Cracks in the Foundation or Walls
  • Indentations, Water Pooling, or Especially Green Areas in the Landscape
  • Unusual Smell/Sewer Gas Odor
  • Mold Issues
  • Unexplained Insect/Rodent Problems

Any cracks or intrusions in the sewer line are a problem, and when left untreated, the effects of those problems become worse. It’s no surprise that many of our West Palm Beach neighbors are choosing to have a proactive pipe inspection that can identify potential challenges and prevent disastrous, costly problems in the future.

Sewer Inspection Services

Our service starts with a sewer inspection, but not just any video inspection. We refer to ours as “a forensic study of the waste system.” Our expertly trained technicians will thoroughly measure, examine, and video your drainage pipes, checking for channeling, scaling, grease buildup, tree roots, decay, blockages, and more. Once the data is collected, we extensively review it and provide you with a not-to-scale drawing of your system along with a digital copy of the inspection and findings report. From there, our team will recommend the least invasive, most efficient method for rehabilitating your specific needs.

Sewer Repair Services in West Palm Beach, FL

Our West Palm Beach sewer pipe service is ready to help. We can address issues with nearly any size property, including:

  • Commercial
  • Industrial
  • Condo and Apartment

We are able to rehabilitate many different types of drainage pipes including cast iron, clay, steel, PVC, concrete, orangeburg, and more. Our specialty, trenchless pipe lining, also known as cured-in-place pipe (CIPP), provides a faster, less damaging solution to conventional sewer pipe replacement.

About Trenchless Pipe Lining

Your sewer pipes are likely located under your floor and foundation, within walls, and below your patios and landscape. Replacement involves digging deep trenches to reach the pipe, excavating it, and replacing it with new piping. It’s a long, messy, costly process that can jeopardize the integrity of your foundation, damage your floors, walls, cabinetry, and finishes, and requires considerable follow-up work to restore your property once the pipes are replaced.

Trenchless pipe lining takes a technologically advanced, less intrusive approach. Using specialized materials and equipment, we insert an epoxy-saturated tube within the existing pipeline – no trench digging required. As it hardens, the tube becomes a new, structurally sound, smooth line that is free of leaks and has a 50-year life-use expectancy.

Trenchless pipe lining has become the most cost-effective way to renew faulty piping. In fact, our customers tell us they save an average of 30%-40% over conventional pipe repair or replacement.

It’s important to note that cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) can be used in both lateral and vertical sanitary sewer or drainage lines and around complicated wyes, 90-degree bends, and branch lines. Pipelining Technologies utilizes robotic branch reinstatement instruments to restore connections and ensure that your entire drainage system is working at its peak performance.

Choose PTI – Get Started Today

Every sewer pipe will eventually have problems and/or deteriorate. Here in West Palm Beach, we are prone to temperature extremes and substantial rainwater accumulation, which take a toll on our drainage systems. When faced with the need to restore pipes, property owners must decide if they will undertake the massive process of conventional pipe replacement and follow up repairs to their home or pursue trenchless pipe lining, the minimally invasive, cost-effective technology that creates structurally sound pipes within the old damaged ones.

Pipelining Technologies, Inc. is the first choice for sewer repair in West Palm Beach and throughout South Florida. Our award-winning service and solutions apply to nearly every type of property, and any level of damage. FAQs

What makes trenchless sewer repair better than traditional sewer repair methods?

Trenchless sewer repair eliminates the need for large-scale destruction of floors and landscaped areas to conventionally replace the damaged pipes, the costs associated with replacing those surfaces, and limits the exposure to health and environmental risks created by major sewer excavations.

When is the city responsible for sewer lines and sewer backups?

Individual municipalities have varying rules regarding the line where private property (including underground drainage) becomes public property. Generally, your private sewer main, or lateral, becomes the responsibility of the city at the tap to the city sewer. Blockages and backups in the city sewer system can cause backups on private property, so identifying the location of the blockage is very important as it relates to responsibility.

How long does it usually take to do a trenchless sewer repair job?

In residential homes, a good rule of thumb is “one liner per day.” For example, if your home has a building main, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a laundry, that is five individual liners, hence five days of work. On large-scale commercial or high-rise condominium projects, more aggressive timelines are typical, with anywhere from two to four liner installations a day.

Is there a warranty on the work that is done and the materials?

Pipelining Technologies offers a full five (5) year parts AND labor warranty on every pipe lining job. This is four years more than a conventional Plumber’s one-year warranty and pipe lining carries a transferrable minimum fifty (50) year life-use expectancy.

Would we have to leave the home or business while the work is being done?

No. Pipelining Technologies works to stagger brief water shutoffs in a way that residential customers will have some facilities to use each day of the project. Since pipe lining can be performed in a much shorter timeframe than pipe replacement, there are typically only a few days of slight inconvenience in comparison to several weeks of water shut off with conventional pipe replacement.

Does trenchless sewer repair work on tall buildings such as apartments or condominiums?

Lining of vertical stacks in high-rise buildings is amongst the most cost effective and time saving applications of trenchless pipe lining, also known as CIPP, cured-in-place pipe. Conventional replacement of a vertical stack on a building of significant height can take weeks, even months to complete, and the residents are without water to the affected facilities for the entire time. Pipe lining can accomplish the same job in two days by lining from the roof continuously to the underground with little to no need to enter individual units.
