3-Steps to Trenchless Pipe Lining
We begin all pipe lining projects with a detailed forensic study of the existing pipe system by means of a HD video camera inspection. A digital copy of the video is yours to keep.
Sewer Pipe Cleaning
The sewer system is cleaned using hydro (water) jetting and/or a mechanical cleaning process that removes scale, buildup, debris, blockages and restores flow in the existing pipes.
Lining & Reinstatement
Your cleaned pipes are lined with an epoxy saturated tube (liner). The tube hardens and the new structural line becomes stronger than PVC. A robotic tool is then used to reopen branch lines.

How Do You Know When Your Sewer Pipe Needs Repair?
Sewer pipes are hidden below the foundation, behind walls, and beneath driveways and patios, making them easy to forget about. Problems such as backups, stoppages, and flooding show up inside and are obvious indicators of pipe issues. But there are lesser-known signs that could alert you of potential sewer pipe damage. These can be:
- Changes to the Foundation – If you notice cracks or that the foundation is sinking, it could be a sign of a damaged/leaking pipe.
- Yard Activity – A leaking sewer pipe can turn a section of grass exceptionally green and lush.
- Insects/Rodents – Unwanted pests can signal an entry from a crack in your pipes. No matter how often you treat, the issue will not resolve until the opening is closed.
- Sewer Gas Smell – Sewer gas has a distinct odor, often described as rotten eggs or hot garbage. This odor indicates a sewer gas leak and should be investigated to find and repair the source of the leak.
- Slow Drainage – Pipes that have significant FOG (fat/oil/grease) buildup, heavy scaling, or infiltrates can drain more slowly than expected.
While these signs can indicate an issue with a sewer pipe, a professional video inspection can accurately confirm the state of your system. At Pipelining Technologies, we use advanced technology to inspect pipes, including robotic instrumentation, HD video cameras, sewer gas leak vapor tests, and our own visual inspections by highly trained technicians. Following our inspection, you will receive a digital copy of the video along with a report of our findings.
Failed pipes can cause damage to a building’s foundation, release potentially harmful pathogens, sewage backups, water damage, sinkholes, and more that are costly to repair. Trenchless pipe lining makes it possible to effectively repair pipes – quickly and affordably – without digging trenches through your property.
Pipe lining utilizes the existing pipelines and repairs them from within. Following a diagnostic inspection and cleaning of the pipes, we insert a flexible, epoxy-saturated tube (liner) directly into the original pipe. The liner is able to move through the system including around plumbing bends and branchlines. Once the structural liner is installed and cured, it is structural, strong, and has a life use expectancy of 50 years!
Unlike traditional sewer repair processes, trenchless pipe lining does not require removing flooring, walls, cabinetry, or home finishes, nor does it mean long term water shutoffs. It is faster, less invasive, and more affordable.
From the top of the lighthouse in Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, you can see all of Key Biscayne laid out beneath you, but even this view won’t reveal every challenge that local structures might be facing, especially when it comes to underground sewer pipes. For that, Pipelining Technologies uses state of the art equipment to inspect pipes and identify issues. Schedule your inspection by giving us a call today.
