Project Description

Project Description:

The Mar-a-Lago Club is a National Historic Landmark. The original structure on this 20 acre site was completed in 1927 to serve as the home of Marjorie Merriweather Post. In 1985 Mr. Donald J. Trump purchased the Mar-a-Lago property to use as a personal residence and in 1995 Mar-a-Lago became established as the Mar-a-Lago Club. The estate is the last remaining historical site in Palm Beach that still contains its buildings and land in almost the identical form as its original conception and construction. For this reason, Pipelining Technologies was called in 2005 to rehabilitate 400+ feet of 6” sewer line with our drainage pipelining system. The pipe is 8 feet below ground and runs from the main residence across the property to a private lift station. Because the pipe is below sea level and is less than 100 yards from the intercoastal waterway, the system is under water twice a day during high tide. This would present difficulties for conventional replacement of the pipe, but this did not present any problems for the Pipelining Technologies pipelining process. What was scheduled as a 5 week conventional repair, with considerable collateral damage to the landscape, private putting green, and pool area, became a 4 day pipelining project causing no collateral damage and very little distraction to the daily routine of the facility.
