3-Steps to Trenchless Pipe Lining
Video Inspection
We begin all pipe lining projects with a detailed forensic study of the existing pipe system by means of a HD video camera inspection. A digital copy of the video is yours to keep.
Sewer Pipe Cleaning
The sewer system is cleaned using hydro (water) jetting and/or a mechanical cleaning process that removes scale, buildup, debris, blockages and restores flow in the existing pipes.
Lining & Reinstatement
Your cleaned pipes are lined with an epoxy saturated tube (liner). The tube hardens and the new structural line becomes stronger than PVC. A robotic tool is then used to reopen branch lines.

What is Trenchless Pipe Repair?
In the past, pipe repairs required digging destructive trenches through your property’s slab foundation in order to uncover the pipes. Anything in the way of the pipes would also be removed. Walls, flooring, cabinetry, and other finishes had to be replaced or restored along with the foundation once the pipe repairs were completed. It was a long, messy, costly process – and it is still practiced routinely today.
As a licensed plumbing contractor since 1985, we knew there had to be a better way to permanently restore pipes without causing so much disruption to homes and businesses. So, we went straight to the source of the revolutionary method – Europe! It was there in 1970 that trenchless pipe lining was developed. They’ve been using pipe lining, also known as CIPP, cured-in-place pipe for more than five decades in buildings that are hundreds of years old.
In 2005, Pipelining Technologies, Inc. began specializing exclusively in trenchless (no-dig) pipe lining and have helped hundreds of customers in both residential and commercial buildings repair their pipes with minimal disruption.
How Does Pipe Lining Work?
Pipe lining uses your existing pipelines and restores them from within. Instead of excavating and exposing pipes, we access the pipes on each end and insert a specially designed, flexible, epoxy-saturated tube (liner) into the pipeline. We install it through the entire line, around plumbing bends, most diameter changes. It can be used in vertical, lateral, or branched pipes. All of this is performed with very little interruption to your building. And the service generally takes days, not weeks, to complete!
The new liner is expanded to the full diameter of the pipe and cured. It seals out all channeling, leaks, root intrusion, and more. The liner becomes structural, with a hardness similar to PVC, and has a 50-year life use expectancy.
